Tokyo, October 29, 2012. Japan Display Inc. (JDI), a global leader in LCD technologies, has announced a ULMT® series*1 of LCD modules for tablet applications. The lineup includes: a 7.0-inch (17.8cm) WXGA (800x1280 pixel) module, a 9.0-inch (22.9cm) WXGA (800x1280 pixel) module, and a 10.1-inch (25.7cm) WUXGA (1920x1200 pixel) module. The 10.1-inch module started mass production earlier this month in October, joining the 7.0-inch panel which has been in production since February, 2012. The 9.0-inch panel is now available for sampling.
The new 10.1-inch LCD display offers clear and beautiful images with wide-view LCD in-plane switching (IPS*2）technology. The module is thin (2.14mm thick) and light (130g), which enables the production of thin and light tablets, capable of displaying beautiful images. JDI is prepared for stable supply, not only through its own production but also through outsourcing.

JDI will demonstrate this new series of displays in booth #2701 at FPD International Japan 2012, held October 31 through November 2, 2012, in Pacifico Yokohama, Yokohama, Japan.
