Disclosures Based on TCFD Recommendations
JDI declared its support for the TCFD recommendations on August 8, 2023. In line with the information disclosure framework proposed by the TCFD (governance, strategy, risk management, metrics and targets related to climate change risks and opportunities), we are striving to enhance our disclosure of information related to climate change.

Renewable Energy Activities
The widespread adoption of renewable energy across society is becoming increasingly important from the perspective of addressing global warming diversifying energy sources. JDI is implementing various initiatives to promote the use of renewable energy.
Tottori Fab
As part of JDI’s efforts to combat global warming, the Tottori Fab introduced a rooftop solar power generation system in 2001. The system was installed and operated jointly with Japan’s New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) to promote the wider adoption of solar power. It has a maximum output of 150 kW, with a total of 900 solar panels. In FY2023, the system generated 106 MWh of electricity, contributing to a reduction of approximately 47 tons of CO2 emissions.

Nanox Philippines Inc.(NXP)
Nanox Philippines Inc. (NXP), a manufacturing subsidiary of JDI, powers its facility entirely with hydropower. Hydropower is a form of renewable energy that is environmentally friendly and does not deplete natural resources, utilizing the energy of flowing or falling water. It allows for rapid output adjustments, enabling flexible responses to changes in electricity demand. The water used is a domestic resource, making hydropower a locally rooted energy source. Since it emits minimal greenhouse gases and offers high energy efficiency, hydropower enables sustainable electricity generation in harmony with nature. Through the use of renewable energy, NXP is contributing to the realization of a sustainable society.
