WhiteMagic
Adding white subpixels for higher brightness and lower power consumption.
WhiteMagic is a display product that combines an RGBW configuration (RGB pixels plus white pixels), with JDI's proprietary image analysis, signal processing, and backlight control technologies. By analyzing the brightness of the input image, WhiteMagic optimally generates RGBW signals while simultaneously adjusting the backlight brightness. This reduces backlight power consumption, which accounts for a large portion of a display's total power consumption, while maintaining natural colors.
