0
JDI today announced that it will exhibit at Smart Sensing 2026, a sensing technology exhibition shaping future society, to be held at Tokyo Big Sight from June 10 (Wed.) to June 12 (Fri.), 2026.
At this exhibition, JDI will showcase a range of newly developed sensors and related technologies using its display technologies cultivated over many years.
Exhibit Highlights
At its booth, JDI will present a variety of sensing devices based on JDI’s world-leading display technologies, including biometric sensors, hover sensors, pressure distribution sensors, and strain (curved surface) sensors. These sensors are enabled by core display technologies, such as materials technologies, fine patterning technologies, and drive and detection technologies, and aim to create new value beyond conventional sensing approaches.
JDI will also have demonstrations and introduce use cases in fields such as healthcare, smart logistics, robotics, satellite communications, security, and smart homes, enabling visitors to experience practical applications of its technologies.
In addition, JDI will showcase other leading-edge technologies, including JDI’s smart home solution “ZINNSIA” and antennas for satellite communications, demonstrating the breadth of its sensing technologies and their potential applications across diverse fields.
As part of its foundry initiatives, JDI will also exhibit EWOD and FPS technologies, and introduce solutions in collaboration with partner companies as well as potential deployment in various industries.
Visitors are invited to experience new sensing technologies derived from display technologies and practical solutions utilizing them at the JDI booth.
On June 10, Koji Yoshida, General Manager of the Sensor Business Unit of JDI, is scheduled to deliver a presentation titled “JDI’s Next-Generation Sensor Business Enabled by High-Resolution ‘Surface Sensing’.”
EWOD: Electro Wetting On Dielectric
FPS: Fingerprint Sensor
