TOKYO, June 3, 2013 – Japan Display Inc. ("JDI"), a leading global supplier of small- and medium-sized displays, announced that it purchased an 81% stake in Nanox Philippines Inc. ("NXP") from NANOX Corporation on June 1, 2013. The deal was reached and completed by a stock transfer contract which was agreed among Nippon Sheet Glass Co. Ltd., NANOX Corporation, and JDI on April 26, 2013.
JDI has entrusted NXP with its LCD module production for years and has recognized NXP's high quality and productivity. JDI is now adding NXP to its subsidiaries for LCD module production to expand production capacity and realize higher productivity to support the forthcoming increase in LCD panel output from its new 6th-generation production line at Mobara Plant in Japan.
